So, there we have it. Republicans have managed to steal yet another election. The lottery draw that would determine control of the Virginia House of Delegates went to the Republican candidate, ensuring the Republicans would still control that body 51-49 despite losing the statewide vote for the House by over 200,000 votes. The lottery was forced by a highly unusual after-the-recount challenge to one specific ballot that was upheld by a Republican majority court.
