I guess it's worth noting that, if Cassidy-Graham actually passes, it will have been Schumer, Pelosi, and Democrats who got played with the three month extension on the budget and the debt ceiling. Without that extension, Republicans would have no time to ram through this horrendous bill that guts Medicaid entirely and strips healthcare from probably around 30 million Americans. In addition, Republicans would not have hundreds of billions of dollars in reduced federal spending to play with for tax cuts for their rich and corporate cronies. McConnell, Ryan, and Trump will have gotten everything they wanted. As David Frum says, Trump's core competency is swindling people gullible enough to believe him. Hard to believe, but it looks like Democrats fell for it.
