Bridgeport City Council Gets Budget Adviser

It is nice to see that my hometown Bridgeport City Council is hiring an outside budget adviser, although it seems a bit surprising that this was not already in place. I would think that most city and town councils would have some trouble with the arcana of the various programs within a typical municipal budget. And, in these days of tight budgets, it seems it would be especially important for council members to not only ask the right questions but get some answers as well - let's hope this consultant is worth it.
